It’s here…Pumpkin Patch time!

 

With that first twinge of crisp fall air, jackets are pulled out and pumpkin spice lattes are in hand! Fall sessions are some of our favorite to shoot and we are excited to spend this season with you! Another favorite during this time of year is the annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Only there does the idea of riding in hay and carrying a 20 lb. pumpkin sound enjoyable! 😉 We’ve gathered a list of some of our favorite area patches for your convenience! Whether it is the hayride, the pumpkin selecting, or the cotton jump that is your favorite, there is something for everyone here! Enjoy!

 

1.  Old Baker Farm- Harpersville  Established in 1818, Old Baker Farm is as classic a pumpkin patch as you will find! This is a working farm where you can pick your own cotton, visit livestock, or even select a Christmas tree in the winter.

September 29 – October 31st (Weekday 3pm-dark, Saturday 9am-dark, Sunday 1pm-dark)

Cost is $10/person which includes a pumpkin and all events except food, arts and crafts, horseback rides. (Kids under 2 are free.)

 

2. Heart of Dixie Railroad Pumpkin Patch Express- Calera

Every Saturday and Sunday in October (Saturdays departing at 10am, 1pm, 3pm Sundays departing at 1pm, 3pm)

Cost is $17 for 12 and up, $12 for ages 2-11, under 2 free

Train rides are 1.5 hours and include a ride on the train and time at the pumpkin patch.

 

3. Helena Hollow- Helena (This is a personal favorite! Includes traditional pumpkin patch activities like a hay maze, petting zoo, and corn barn.)

Every Saturday and Sunday September 29th – October 31st (Saturday 10am-6:30pm and Sunday 12pm-6:30pm)

Admission $10, admission for ages 3 & up, 2 & under free!

 

4. 4D Farm- Cullman

Every Friday. Saturday, and Sunday September 28-November 3rd

Visit their website for specific dates and times.

Jumping pillow, pig races, corn maze, zip line…it’s all there at 4D Farms including a new low ropes obstacle course.

 

5. Bennett Farms- Heflin

Open September 29-October 28 (Friday 2pm-5pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 1pm-5pm)

General admission $10, 1 and under are free. Please note… pumpkins are not included with admission!
