what shadows look like | birmingham, al photographer

I grew up taking trips to my grandparent’s house and playing on their farm in Carl Junction, Missouri.  I loved seeing the fish pond, cows, chicken, and playing with the goats.  Although the animals are gone and fish pond dried up, it was so special to see Smith explore and visit there for the first time.  We traveled to Missouri and Oklahoma for a week this month to visit family and friends.  Smith and I ventured out to take some pictures during the “golden hour” before sunset.  Little did I know, the golden hour there takes place long after our times here in Alabama.  The sun was still high and cast some beautiful shadows through the trees and a tiny little shadow behind my sweet girl.
