The days are long, but the years are short…
I was perusing through my Southern Living magazine this month and came across an American Express advertisement featuring one of my favorite personalities, Tina Fey. The ad featured a frazzled Tina Fey with her children in the kitchen and seemingly every object in their home scattered around them. Although this was a staged advertisement and maybe not even really her life, I connected and empathized with her expression and wrecked home (way to go, AmEx marketing!). I started thinking about how this could easily be the home of my clients and friends with young children and decided I wanted to capture that moment! I instructed my volunteers to simply gather some of their every day items and chose a spot in the house they frequent most with their children. We let the children pick their outfits and do whatever they wanted for the picture. I also told each mom to pretend they were 18 looking into the future at this photograph and got some great reactions. I truly enjoyed photographing this “Project Mom” series and hope you love our pictures of everyday life!
